The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Co. Ltd. has its office at No. 3 Savithiri Shanmugam Road. We are right in the Race Course area. It’s a good part of town to be in, quite green and open compared to the center. Tea is our whole world. We deal with everything related to the estates and the production from here. The office is usually humming with activity. We have people coming in and out all day. Tea business is never really quiet. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The building at number 3 is where all the decisions happen. We don't really do much to advertise, we just let the tea speak for itself. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well. It’s about checking the reports from the estates and making sure the distribution is moving along. We have our tea breaks, of course, usually with the very stuff we sell. The Race Course neighborhood is nice for a walk during lunch if we have the time. We aren't a new company, we have been doing this for a long while. No need for flashy words or big promises. We just manage the tea estates as best as we can from our office on Savithiri Shanmugam Road. It’s a steady kind of job and we like the rhythm of it. We just show up and keep the tea moving.
