Our group is called Pozhil Collective Farming Producer Company Limited, and you can find us at Govindanoor, in the Puravipalayam area. We are located at 6/114 on North Vinayakar Koil Street. It’s a local spot where a bunch of us farmers get together to handle the business side of things. Farming on your own is getting harder every year, so we formed this producer company to share the load. Our office is just a simple room with the basics like a desk and some chairs. We don’t have a website or a marketing team. We just talk to each other and decide what needs to be done for the upcoming season. North Vinayakar Koil Street is a familiar place for all of us. Most days, someone is there to answer questions or help with paperwork for the collective. We deal with the crops we grow right here in the surrounding fields. It’s a practical way to manage things. We try to get a better price by selling together rather than individually. It’s a lot of work, and there are always challenges with the weather or the market prices. But we’ve been at it for a while now. We aren't looking to be a big corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in Govindanoor get a fair shake.
