Our shop is at No.66 on Raja Street, right by the Five Corner area. If you’ve been there, you know it’s one of the busiest spots around. There is always someone shouting or a horn honking outside our door. The building is quite old and the stairs are a bit steep. We’ve got a lot of history in these rooms. The wooden floors creak whenever you walk across them. We don't have modern furniture. Most of our desks were here before I started. It feels like a real place, not some sterile office. We deal with all sorts of people coming in from the market. Some are in a hurry and others just want to sit and talk for an hour. We try to be helpful but we have our own work to finish too. My ledger is full of handwritten notes because I still don't trust the computer for everything. We drink a lot of coffee from the place next door. They know our order by heart now. The shelves are packed with old files and boxes that haven't been opened in years. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to do a decent job for the people who come to Raja Street. It’s a bit chaotic and loud, but we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet place. We just keep going, day after day. It's a living.
