Shakir Enterprises

Shakir Enterprises is located at No. 35 in the Corporation Complex on Ranga Konar Street in Kattoor. Because we are in a corporation complex, there are always people and other shops all around us. Finding a spot to park a motorbike in this part of Kattoor can be a real struggle. The office is usually packed with various boxes and files because we handle a lot of stock. A large desk sits right in the middle where we do most of our daily business. It looks a bit cluttered, but we actually know where every single paper is. Instead of decorations, we just have a simple calendar and a clock that runs a little fast. The street noise outside is constant, though you eventually stop noticing it. Much of our day involves moving stock or talking to different suppliers on the telephone. It is physical work and sometimes our backs get tired from shifting the crates. We have been part of this complex for a long time now. The other shopkeepers nearby have become good friends over the years. Sharing a tea in the afternoon is a common thing when business slows down. We don't have any big mission statements or goals like that. We just want to finish the work and get home. It’s a gritty, honest place to spend the day and we just keep things moving as best as we can.
