Pat Western Ghat Planters Producer Company Limited

Our company is based up at 2/64, Kamachi Amman Kovil Street in Panrimalai. We are right in the Western Ghats, so the scenery is nice and the air is much cooler than it is down in the plains. We are a group of planters who work with the crops that grow on these hillsides. We formed this producer company so we could help each other with the planting and the selling. Kamachi Amman Kovil Street is a small road, and everyone around here knows where our office is. We aren't a corporate bunch. Most of us are more comfortable in the fields than behind a desk. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing materials. We just talk about the things that affect our daily lives, like the soil quality or the rain patterns in the Ghats. Sometimes the roads can be difficult when there’s heavy rain, but we manage. We just want to make sure the planters in this area can keep their land and make a decent living. It’s a lot of physical work and sometimes the days are long. We sit in our small office and try to figure out the best way to get things done. We aren't trying to impress anyone. We just want to keep doing what our families have done for generations here in Panrimalai. It is a quiet life and we like the hills.
