Down in Pollachi, we have Palaar Coco Coir Producer Company Limited. Our office is at 1/2, Kamarajar Street in the Mahalingapuram area. If you know Pollachi, you know it’s famous for coconuts, so it makes sense that we work with coco coir. We are a group of producers who decided to pool our stuff together. Kamarajar Street is a nice enough place to be based. It’s got that local feel where everyone knows each other’s business. We aren't a corporate giant or anything. We are just a bunch of folks who know a lot about coconut husks and how to turn them into something useful. The office is usually humming with the sound of people talking and the occasional phone ringing. We don't have any marketing experts telling us how to sound professional. We just tell it like it is. If the fiber is good, we say so. If there’s a problem, we fix it. Mahalingapuram is a busy part of town, but we’ve carved out our own little space here. We spend our days checking on the production and talking to the people who work with us. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We don't need any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make coir and try to make sure everyone involved gets a fair deal. That’s about it for us, just keeping the coir moving out.
