Muthu Cement Articles

Our yard is located in Kovil Palayam right on Sathy Main Road. We are pretty close to Lakshmi Mahal, which is a big landmark around here. It’s easy to spot us because of all the cement things sitting out in the sun. We’ve got various items lined up along the edge of the property. Muthu Cement Articles has been operating here for a while. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets a bit muddy when it rains. We spend a lot of time outside. It’s heavy work moving things around. We use some old rollers and a lot of manual labor. The sun gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we usually take a longer break then. We don't have a big office building. It’s more of a small shed where we keep the books and the phone. People driving down Sathy Main Road often pull over to ask about prices. We don't have a glossy catalog to show them. We just walk them around the yard and show them what we have made. Some of the pieces have been sitting there for a bit, but they are solid. We make everything right here. It’s a dusty job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We just keep making more when the stock gets low. That’s the way it is.
