Our place is at 115 Amman Nagar, and if you know Saravanampatty, you probably know the PNB on Sathy Main Road. We’re right upstairs from there. It’s not a fancy office, just a workspace where we get things done. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at mechanical parts that people bring in. Sometimes the stairs get a bit busy when the bank is open, but we’re used to it. Most of us have been around this part of town for years, so we know the local shops and the traffic patterns on Sathy Road quite well. It gets a little loud with the cars passing by outside, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, check what needs fixing or designing, and get to work. People stop by because they know where we are, not because of some big sign. It’s a simple setup. We have our tools and our desks, and that’s about it. If someone needs help with a mechanical problem, they usually just walk up the stairs and talk to us directly. It’s been this way since we moved into this spot in Amman Nagar. We keep track of our projects on old-fashioned notebooks and some basic computer files. It works for us and the people we deal with daily.
