The Malliakarai Farmer Producer Company Limited is really about the people in our town. We operate out of No. 7/66 Road in Sandaipet, Malliakarai. Padmavathi, who is Indirakumar’s wife, helps keep everything organized there. Sandaipet is a place where you always see farmers coming and going, so it was the perfect spot for us to set up. We aren't some big city corporation with tall buildings. We are just a group of farmers who wanted to have a place of our own to handle our business. Most days you’ll find some of us sitting around discussing the price of crops or how the last harvest went. It's a bit messy sometimes, with papers all over the desk and everyone talking at once. We don't have a formal way of doing things, just what works for us in Tamilnadu. The town is small, so news travels fast, and everyone knows what we’re trying to do. We help each other with seeds and sharing tools when someone’s tractor breaks down. It’s about making sure no one gets left behind in the village. If you come by Sandaipet, just look for the house near the road. We’re usually there, either working or just having a tea and talking about the rain. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours, and it helps the local families stay on their feet through the good and bad seasons.
