Larsen & Toubro Limited

This particular branch of Larsen & Toubro Limited is our Casting Manufacturing Unit. We are located at the IPMOC-MIPD site on Chettipalayam-Palladam Road in Chettipalayam. It’s a large industrial site, far removed from the polished office towers you might associate with the name. Here, it’s all about the foundry work. The air is heavy with the smell of sand and molten iron. We have massive furnaces and a lot of heavy equipment. It’s a place where we wear hard hats and heavy boots all day. The work is physically demanding and the environment is very hot. We operate in shifts to keep the production going. Chettipalayam-Palladam Road is a busy stretch with a lot of transport trucks. Our gate is always busy with arrivals and departures. We don't have a marketing team at this unit. We are just the people who make the castings. There are no fancy brochures or promotional events here. It’s a practical, hardworking atmosphere. The office part of the unit is just for managing the logistics and the payroll. There’s always a bit of dust on the paperwork, but that’s what happens when you’re this close to the production floor. We don't spend time on big speeches or corporate branding. We just focus on the quality of the metal we are pouring. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of job, and we’ve been doing it here for quite some time. We just keep moving forward with the daily schedule.
