Lakshmi Upvc Windows Pvt. Ltd. is located at 371 Kamarajar Street, which is right near Manis Theatre. If you’ve been to the theater, you’ve probably passed our shop a dozen times. We spend most of our time cutting frames and fitting glass. Making windows might seem repetitive to some people, but there is a lot of measuring and double-checking that goes into it. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with lights and air conditioning. Instead, we have a workspace where you can see exactly what we are making. The shop can get a little messy with offcuts of plastic and glass, but we try to tidy up at the end of every shift. We are just local people working for other local people. We don't use any scripts when we talk to folks who come in; we just tell them what will work best for their house and what won’t. Sometimes the street gets really crowded when a new movie is playing, but we just keep working through it. Our team is like a small family, and we’ve been working together long enough that we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just want to make sure the windows we send out are sturdy and fit like they are supposed to. It’s a decent living and we take it one day at a time.
