I’ve been over at the shop here in Irugur for quite a while now. We’re tucked away on Gandhi Nagar, right off Ondiputhur Road. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular workshop where we get things done with aluminum. Sometimes the yard gets a bit messy when we have a lot of scrap metal lying around, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We started out small and mostly just stay busy with whatever comes through the door. Usually, it's folks from around town needing window frames or some structural stuff fixed up. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going and stay on top of the orders. The traffic on Ondiputhur Road can be a real pain during rush hour, so most of us try to get here early before it picks up. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist to greet you. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone out back working the cutters or moving material. My hands are usually a bit dusty from the metal shavings. We just try to do the job right so people come back next time. There isn't much to say about it other than we show up, do the work, and head home to our families. It’s been our spot for years now and we know the neighborhood well. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the side door, but we put a bucket there and keep moving.
