Our office is on the 3rd floor of Singapore Plaza. If you know the 333 Cross Cut Road area in Gandhipuram, you know it’s always crowded. Finding parking is a bit of a nightmare some mornings. At Keas Control systems India Pvt. Ltd., we spend most of our time dealing with controls and technical panels. The stairs up to the third floor keep us fit, though there is a lift that works most of the time. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our computers. We have a lot of manuals stacked on the shelves and the windows look out over the shops below. It’s noisy outside but we’ve got used to the sound of horns and people shouting. Usually, the morning starts with a quick meeting about which site needs a visit or what drawing needs finishing. We aren't a big corporate setup with glass walls. It’s more like a group of people who know how these systems work. We drink a lot of coffee from the shop downstairs. The work is mostly technical, making sure the controls do what they are supposed to do. Sometimes we stay late when a project is nearing a deadline, and the plaza gets quiet then. It’s a decent place to work. We’ve got a small pantry area where we eat lunch together. It’s nothing special, just a practical space for our engineering tasks and keeping track of our client files.
