Karthika Farms

Othakal Mandapam is where we spend most of our time. This place, Karthika Farms, isn't fancy. It’s just how things are around here. Most days start pretty early before the sun is even fully up because there is always something that needs doing. Sometimes the weather behaves and other times it doesn’t, but that’s farming for you. We’ve been out here a while now. The dirt gets under your fingernails and stays there. People around Othakal Mandapam know where we are. It’s not a big setup with lots of offices or anything like that. Just some sheds, the land, and the equipment we need to keep things moving. We deal with whatever the season brings. If it’s raining, we’re dealing with mud. If it’s dry, we’re worrying about water. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write pretty words for us. We just focus on the plants and the animals if they are around. The gate is usually open if someone needs to stop by. We just try to keep the place running without too much fuss. It's a quiet life mostly, away from the main city noise. You get used to the rhythm of the chores. One day blends into the next, but the work is honest and it keeps us busy from morning till we lock up at night. The land has its own way of keeping you humble.
