K T Engineering Works

Our shop, K T Engineering Works, is located at No: 3J in Srinivasan Nagar, right near the Pothanur Post area. It is a quiet enough corner compared to the big city, but we stay occupied. Most of the guys here have been working together for a long time. We know the machines inside out. When you walk into the workshop, you will probably see a bit of grease on the floor and tools spread out on the benches. That is just how we work. We don't really bother with making the place look like a showroom because that isn't what we are here for. People from around the neighborhood know where to find us if they need something fixed or made. We take things as they come. Some days are packed and others are a bit slower, which gives us time to clean up or fix our own gear. Pothanur has changed a bit over the years, but our spot remains pretty much the same. We just show up, do the work, and try to do right by the people who come to us. It is a simple life here in Srinivasan Nagar. No big speeches or fancy logos on our shirts. Just a lot of metal and manual labor. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when the sun is high and then it is back to the bench. It’s a decent way to earn a living without making a fuss about it.
