J.S.Engineering

We’ve been here in Ganapathy for a while now, tucked away on 1st Street in Moogambigai Nagar. J.S. Engineering is basically just us working with metals and machines every day. The workshop at 46-A is where everything happens. It gets pretty loud sometimes with the lathes running and the smell of cutting oil in the air, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making parts. People around here know the spot. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just a floor covered in metal shavings and a few benches where we sit and figure things out. Some days are busier than others. If there’s a specific part someone needs or a machine that stopped working, they bring it over. We look at it, see what can be done, and get to work. It isn't always pretty, and sometimes we’re covered in grease by noon, but the job gets finished. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the street stays the same mostly. We just keep the doors open and stay busy with whatever comes through. There’s always something that needs fixing or a bracket that needs welding. It’s practical work. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing things down unless we have to. Most of what we do is just hands-on stuff right here in the shop. We like the way things are and don't feel the need to change much about how we operate.
