Thamburaja Impex

We spend most of our mornings here at Ramakrishnapuram getting things ready for the day. Being so close to Gandhipark means there is always some noise outside, but we are used to it by now. Thamburaja Impex started out quite small and we still feel like a small group most days. We handle a lot of different items coming in and going out. Someone is usually checking the lists while someone else is moving boxes around the back. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy work done early if we can. Most people who stop by know us from the neighborhood around Ponnaiyarajapuram. It isn't a fancy setup, just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of space for the goods we manage. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing down notes on paper scraps. Sometimes the traffic near the park makes deliveries a bit slow, but that is just how it goes here. We have been in this spot for a while and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. Mostly, we just focus on getting the tasks done and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It's a lot of routine work, checking labels and talking to drivers. There are days when it's quiet and days when everyone is rushing, but we just keep at it. We also have a small corner where we keep our tools and some old ledgers from years ago. It’s just how we operate.
