Essar Neon

We've got our shop at 720 Raja Street, not too far from the Raymond shop. If you’re walking down the street, you can’t miss us because of the signs. We make neon lights and all kinds of displays. It’s a bright place to work, literally. We’ve got tubes of glass and different gases all over the back room. It’s a skill that takes a lot of patience, especially the glass bending. One wrong move and you have to start over. We started out just doing small signs for local cafes and now we do a bit of everything. It's a family-run kind of place. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. Usually, it's just one of us answering the door with a blowtorch nearby. Raja Street is always busy, which is good for business. We get a lot of walk-ins. Some people just want to see how the lights are made. We don't mind as long as they don't touch the hot glass. We keep things pretty simple here. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make signs that glow. It’s a good trade and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
