Our place, Emerald Jewel Industry Pvt. Ltd., is situated on M.T.P. Road, near the Narashimanaicken Palayam Post. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, which actually makes it a nicer place to work since it's not as crowded. We’ve got a fairly large building here where we handle different parts of the jewelry-making process. It’s not a retail store where you can come and browse finished pieces in a window. It’s more of a workshop and factory environment. We have several long tables where the workers sit and do their tasks, and you can hear the sound of small tools clicking all day long. We’ve been in this location for many years, and many of the people who work here live in the nearby villages. It’s a steady kind of job. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions of what we do. We just focus on the jewelry and making sure each piece is handled properly. The office is small and usually filled with boxes ready for shipping. We keep a regular schedule, starting early in the morning and finishing up by the evening. It’s a very practical way to run things. We don't worry much about being polished or sounding corporate; we just care about the work that happens on the shop floor every day. It is a quiet place where people focus on their craft without much fuss.
