Design & Drawing

Down here in Madathukulam, things move a little differently than in the big cities. We are located at No 39 Kalukarai, near Udamalpet in the Coimbatore district. It’s a quiet spot compared to the main town. Our work is exactly what it says on the door: design and drawing. We spend most of our time bent over drafting tables or staring at screens, trying to get the lines straight for various building projects. A lot of people around here know us as the place to go when they need a plan drawn up before they start digging. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who are good with a ruler and software. The office gets a nice breeze sometimes, which is good because Tamil Nadu summers can be quite something. We keep things very simple here. There’s no front desk person to greet you; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn’t busy. We deal with local builders and homeowners mostly. Sometimes it’s a house plan, other times it’s something for a small factory. We’ve been at this address for a good while, so we’ve seen the town grow up around us. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the state. We just want to make sure the drawings we hand over are accurate and easy for the masons to follow. It’s basic, steady work that keeps us busy from morning till evening.
