Deckel Tools

Our place is No. 9, Nanjappa Nagar, 1st Cross West, right off Trichy Road in Singanallur. It’s a decent spot for a business like Deckel Tools because it’s close to the main transport routes. We deal with machine tools and specialized equipment. The building is a simple concrete structure with a big metal shutter. Inside, it’s mostly open space where we keep the larger machinery. We have a small office section partitioned off with some plywood, but we spend most of our time out on the floor. The weather in Coimbatore can be quite humid, so we keep the fans going all day. There’s always a faint smell of machine oil in the air. We have a few guys who help with the loading and unloading. We aren't a big corporation, just a local outfit trying to provide what the local industries need. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow cross streets, which is a bit of a mess to clear up. We’ve got a small backyard where we keep some of the scrap metal and old crates. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have fancy brochures. If someone needs a tool, they usually just call us or drop by the shop. We have our tea breaks at the same time every day at the stall down the street. It’s a regular, hardworking life. Most of us live nearby, so the walk home isn't too bad. We've been at this for a long time.
