Coimbatore Industrial Infrastructure Association

The Coimbatore Industrial Infrastructure Association is based on the second floor of the Siema Building. The address is 8/4, Race Course. It’s an older building, and you can feel the history when you walk up the stairs. Being in the Race Course area is nice because of the trees and the slightly wider roads, though it still gets crowded. We aren't a factory ourselves. Instead, we spend our time talking to people who run the industries around Coimbatore. There is a lot of sitting in meetings and going through paperwork. The office isn't very large. We have some old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been here for years. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. People from the nearby industrial units stop by to discuss local issues or just to see what’s happening with the infrastructure. We don’t have a big staff, so things can get a bit slow if a few people are out. We deal with the government departments and the utility companies quite a bit. It’s mostly about trying to keep things moving for the local businesses. The Siema Building itself is a bit of a landmark, so it’s easy for people to find us. We just keep the files moving and try to stay on top of the local industrial needs as best as we can every day.
