Chariot Travels

If you look for us at 47, East Ponnurangam Road in R.S. Puram, you’ll find our little office tucked in there. Chariot Travels isn't some massive corporation with hundreds of people. It’s just us handling bookings and talking to people about where they want to go next. R.S. Puram is a lively part of town, so there is always noise outside. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone when the traffic gets really bad in the afternoons. We spend a lot of time on our computers and talking to drivers. The walls are covered with some old maps and calendars that we haven't changed in a bit. It feels lived in. We’ve had the same chairs for years because they’re comfortable enough. Often, we’re just sorting out paperwork or trying to fix a schedule that got messed up because of a late train or a cancelled flight. It’s not always smooth, and there are days when things get a bit stressful, but that is just the nature of travel. We have regular people who drop by just to say hello or ask about ticket prices for next month. There’s a tea stall nearby that we frequent. We don't have a big marketing team. We just open the doors in the morning, make some calls, and try to get people where they need to be without too much trouble. It's a small operation but we keep it running every day.
