Chandrans Poultry Farm

Life at Chandrans Poultry Farm starts pretty early, usually before the sun is even fully up. We are located at No. 2/77 in Palladam, over by the Puliampatti Post area. If you live around here, you know the sound of a farm is never really quiet. There is always some scratching or chirping going on. We spend most of our time out in the sheds or checking on the feed. It’s physical work, and your boots are never clean for long. We don't have a fancy office; most of the business happens right there in the yard or over a quick chat by the gate. The weather really dictates how our day goes. If it’s too hot, we’re busy making sure everything stays cool, and if it rains, we’re checking for leaks. It is just a regular poultry farm run by people who grew up around this kind of life. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We raise birds and we take care of the land. The Puliampatti area is a good spot for us, and we’ve become a part of the landscape over the years. We know our neighbors and we help each other out when a truck gets stuck or a fence needs fixing. It’s a simple, hard-working life and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if we were stuck in a city office. This is where we belong.
