Black Thunder Resort

Black Thunder Resort sits right on Ooty Main Road in Mettupalayam. We have been at this location for years, right at the base of the hills before people head up to Ooty. It is a big property, and it takes a lot of effort to keep the grounds looking decent. We have a lot of trees and open space, so there is always sweeping and gardening to be done. We are not a boutique hotel; we are a large resort that sees a lot of families and travelers. Most of our day is spent checking people in or making sure the water in the park area is clean. It is a lot of walking back and forth across the property. The humidity can be tough in Mettupalayam, but we are used to it by now. We do not have a marketing team writing our stuff; we just tell people what we have here. There are rooms, some places to eat, and plenty of space for kids to run around. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the property and cause a bit of trouble, but that is just life near the hills. We try to keep things running smoothly, even when it gets crowded during the holiday seasons. It is a practical place to stop when you are on your way to the mountains. We just focus on keeping the gates open and the lights on for our guests.
