Bhr Heart Clinic

Down on Tank Road in Sivananda Colony, that's where you'll find Bhr Heart Clinic. We’ve been operating out of this spot for some time. Heart health is what we focus on every single day. The clinic sits right in the middle of the colony, so it’s easy for the older folks to walk over. It’s a simple building. We have the machines for testing and some benches for people to sit while they wait their turn. It can get a little cramped when a lot of people show up at once, but we manage. We see a lot of blood pressure checks and heart monitoring. The staff here is small. We know most of the patients by their first names by now. It feels more like a community spot than a cold medical center. We keep the files organized as best we can. Sometimes the computer acts up, but we get through it. Tank Road is usually busy with people going about their business. We try to provide a space where people can come and talk about their chest pains or just get a regular check on their heart. No big speeches or anything like that. We just look at the charts and tell people what they need to know. There is a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. It rings quite a bit in the afternoon. We just answer it, take the message, and get back to the patients. It's not a fancy system, but it works for us here.
