Bhavani Traders

Bhavani Traders operates out of 21/14, Maheswari Nagar, on the 2nd Street of Thanner Pandal Road in Peelamedu. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s a bit quieter than being right in the middle of the city. We have a small warehouse space and an office that we’ve shared for a long time. It’s usually pretty warm here, so we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes down the street. Our days are mostly spent counting stock and checking invoices. We trade in various goods, so the inventory changes from week to week. Sometimes the place is full of boxes of textiles, and other times it might be something else entirely. It’s a bit of a puzzle trying to fit everything in when a big delivery arrives. We have a small group of guys who help with the loading and unloading. We mostly sit on plastic chairs around a metal desk when we’re doing the paperwork. There’s an old calendar on the wall that’s a few months out of date, but nobody bothers to change it. We know the neighbors well and we often chat with the guy who runs the tea stall around the corner. It’s a simple business without any big corporate layers. We just buy things, store them, and sell them to people who need them. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without any real complaints.
