Asmatha Impex

We run Asmatha Impex from No. 110 in the Ramnarayanan Lay Out, right near Bharathi Park II Street. It's a decent area to work in, mostly because it’s easy to find. We have been here for a while, handling the daily ins and outs of importing and exporting. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or typing out lists for the customs people. Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in paper, but that's just the nature of this business. The park nearby is nice for a quick walk when the stress of a late shipment gets to be too much. We aren't some big multinational corporation. We’re just a small group of people who know how to move goods from one place to another. Our neighbors in the layout are mostly families and other small businesses, so it feels like a community. We don't do much in the way of promotion; word of mouth usually does the job for us. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons here, so we have a couple of old fans that we keep running all day. We just try to get the orders right and make sure everything is labeled correctly before it leaves the door. It's honest work and we do our best to stay on top of the schedule.
