Annur Collective Farmers Producercompany Limited

If you go down Dharmar Kovil Street in Annur, you will find our small office at 4/15. We are a bunch of farmers from the Avinashi and Coimbatore area who thought it would be better to work together instead of competing. It started out with just a few of us talking over tea, and eventually, we registered as a producer company. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles here. The office is just a place where we keep our registers and talk about what the season looks like. Farming in this part of the country has its own set of problems, so having a group helps us figure things out. We handle everything from buying what we need for the farms to making sure the harvest gets where it needs to go. Most of us have been working these lands for years, so we know the area pretty well. We aren’t interested in looking like a big city business. We are just regular people who wear dusty boots and care about our crops. Sometimes the meetings go on a bit long because everyone has an opinion, but that is just how it goes when you have a collective. We are glad to be part of the Annur community and to keep our farming traditions going in a way that makes sense for today. It’s about sticking together and making sure the work gets done for everyone involved.
