Annai Plastic Arts

If you come down to No. 60 Raja Street in Coimbatore Ho, you will find our shop. Annai Plastic Arts is mostly about working with plastics and making things for people. Raja Street is a pretty busy spot with a lot of traffic. We’ve been here for quite some time. The shop is filled with various bits of plastic and tools for shaping them. It’s not a very clean place, because cutting plastic makes a lot of shavings. We just sweep it up at the end of the day. It’s a small team of us here. We don't do any big advertising. People in Coimbatore just know us from being on this street for so long. We handle things like nameplates or small fixtures. It’s hands-on work. We don’t have a fancy front office; you just come straight into the workspace. Sometimes the machines are a bit loud, so we have to shout over them. We use simple tools and traditional methods mostly. It’s what we are used to. We keep the shop open during regular hours and just take orders as they come in. There is no mission statement or big goal here, we just want to do the work right and finish it on time. It’s a practical way to spend the day. Sometimes we have a backlog when many people come at once, but we just work through it steadily until it's done.
