Advantech Automation

Advantech Automation is located at No: 1 in Gowndampalayam. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us who understand how these machines and sensors are supposed to talk to each other. We spend a lot of time looking at wires and control panels. Sometimes it gets a bit frustrating when a code doesn't work or a part is late, but we eventually figure it out. Gowndampalayam is a quiet enough area most of the time, which helps when you need to concentrate on technical stuff. Our office is filled with old manuals and spare parts that we might need one day. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. If you come by, you’ll see we’re just regular people in casual clothes trying to solve problems. We often eat our lunch together at the small table in the back. We've been working in automation for a long time, way before it became a big buzzword. We just like seeing things run on their own without people having to flip switches all day. It’s interesting work, even if it’s mostly just us staring at circuits for hours. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just take the jobs that come our way and try to do them right so we don't have to go back and fix them later. It’s just a small shop where we try to keep things moving forward one project at a time without any fuss.
