Prerna Public Higher Sec School

Our school is located in Ward Number 2 in Rajgarh, which is in the Churu district. If you know anything about Churu, you know the weather is always at an extreme, either freezing cold or very hot. Prerna Public Higher Sec School is a place where we try to keep the students focused despite the weather. We have kids from all over the Rajgarh area coming here. The building is two stories high and has a central courtyard where everyone gathers. Since we go up to higher secondary, we have a lot of teenagers who are preparing for their life after school. Some want to go to college in bigger cities, and others will stay here to work. We spend a lot of time going over the textbooks and making sure the assignments are done on time. The teachers are quite strict about attendance because it is easy for students to fall behind. We have a small office where we keep the files and the school bell, which is still the old-fashioned metal kind that you hit with a hammer. The noise travels all across Ward 2 when it rings. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished brochures. People know us because their older siblings or cousins came here. It is just a local school doing its job every day of the week except Sundays and the occasional holiday.
