If you head out to Ajoliya Ka Khera, you’ll find us at Plot No-G-21-22. We’ve been operating Kanha Marble from this spot for a while now. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which is nice for us. We mostly focus on marble blocks and slabs. The yard is big enough to hold quite a bit of inventory, so we spend our time organizing the stone by color and quality. It’s just us and a few workers who know how to handle the heavy lifting. We don’t go in for fancy marketing or big billboards. Most of our business comes from people who know someone who bought from us before. We try to be straightforward. If a batch of stone has cracks or spots, we say so. There’s no point in hiding it because the customer will see it anyway when it’s being laid. Our days are pretty repetitive—loading, unloading, and measuring. It gets very hot out in the yard during the summer months, but that’s just part of the job. We drink a lot of water and keep the machines running. We aren't a corporate giant with a thousand employees. We are just a local business trying to stay busy and keep things moving. It’s not a glamorous life, but we like working with the stone. It’s solid and it lasts. We just take it one day at a time and try to be fair with everyone who stops by.
