Down on Kamakur Road in Balayapalli, you’ll find our office at 1-5-22. We work under the National Diary Development Board (Ministry Of Agriculture) , Ana. It sounds like a big title, but really we’re just a small group of people working in a modest building. The office is pretty basic with some old fans that rattle a bit when they're on the high setting. We spend our hours going through files and talking to people about their livestock. Balayapalli is the kind of place where everyone knows your business, so we get a lot of visitors just stopping by to say hello or ask a quick question. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a few plastic chairs for anyone who needs to wait. The walls are covered with some old charts and maps of the local area. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork to file, but we manage. There is a big tree outside that gives some nice shade during the hot afternoons, which we all appreciate. We aren't trying to impress anyone; we just have a job to do for the dairy sector here. It's practical work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We’re just regular folks doing our part on Kamakur Road. It gets very quiet after five o'clock when we lock up.
