J H K Bricks

J H K Bricks is located right on the Shimoga Main Road in Harihar. You can’t miss us if you are driving that way because of the long rows of bricks drying in the sun. It is a high-traffic area, so we get a lot of people pulling over to ask about prices or delivery times. The site is a mix of red earth and stacks of finished product. We spend a lot of time moving things from one side of the lot to the other. It is heavy work, and the sun can be brutal in the afternoons. We have a small office near the front, but most of the time we are out on the field. The Shimoga Main Road stays busy with buses and trucks, so there is a constant hum of engines in the background. We do not bother with much decoration; the bricks are what matter. Rain is our biggest worry, so we are always checking the sky. If it looks like a storm is coming, everyone has to move fast to cover the unbaked bricks with plastic sheets. It is a simple life, but it keeps us on our toes. We have been part of the Harihar landscape for a while now. People know they can find someone here most days of the week. We just keep making the bricks and loading the trucks as they come. It is what we know how to do.
