Yaksha Boutique

We are situated at Plot No-11A, Door No - 46E on the 100 Feet Tharamani Road in Velachery. We are quite close to the Sony Centre and Naidu Hall, which are the main landmarks people use to find us. It’s a very busy street, and the noise of the traffic is something we’ve just learned to ignore over the years. Inside the boutique, we have a variety of clothes displayed on simple racks. We spend our mornings dusting the shelves and making sure the displays look okay. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we just hope people see the shop when they are walking to the bus stop. The lighting in the shop is a bit dim in the corners, but we have a few extra lamps we turn on when someone is looking at the finer details of a sari. We do a lot of the work ourselves, from hanging the stock to helping customers with their choices. It’s a small business, and some days are much slower than others. When it rains, the water sometimes collects near the front step, so we have to be careful with that. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and a kettle for making coffee. It’s a pretty basic setup, but it works for us. We enjoy meeting the people who live in the Velachery area and hearing their stories while they shop.
