Pretty Collection

We are right on the ground floor of Gokul Arcade on Sardar Patel Road. Shop 24 is where you’ll see us. Adyar is a nice area but the traffic on the main road can be a bit much during rush hour. Pretty Collection is just a small shop where we keep things on display. The glass windows need cleaning almost every day because of the dust from the road. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street. We have some lights that flicker if you turn them all on at once, so we leave one off. Most of the time it’s just me or one other person here. We spend a lot of time folding things or moving items from one shelf to another to make more room. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it swept but things get messy fast. People coming into Gokul Arcade often stop by just to look around while they are on their way somewhere else. It’s a small space, so if three or four people are inside at once, it feels full. We have a small stool behind the counter for when the feet get tired. It’s not a fancy place with music or anything. Just a shop where we do our daily work. We know the other shop owners nearby and we chat during the slow times. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
