We are set up on the ground floor of a building in Thirumalai Nagar, which is over in the Kolathur area. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don't have to deal with stairs or waiting for an elevator every time we need to step out. The address is 50A, and it’s a decent-sized space for our software team. We’ve got our computers set up and a few whiteboards that are usually covered in scribbles and diagrams. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. The neighborhood is mostly houses, so it's relatively quiet during the day, which helps us focus on our coding and testing. We’ve been in Kolathur for a while and we like how it’s not as chaotic as the center of Chennai. There’s a small shop around the corner where we get our coffee and snacks. Most of the guys here are local, so we speak a mix of English and Tamil throughout the day. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and try to solve the bugs that pop up. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, but we try to keep a normal schedule. It’s a simple setup. We don't need much more than a good desk and a stable connection to keep things moving. It feels like a small family business even though we do technical software work.
