Varun Impex

Our office for Varun Impex is at 33-D Rite Choice Ganesha Apartment on the Velachery Main Road. It’s a bit different running an impex business from an apartment building, but it works for us. We have the office set up in one of the rooms, and it’s usually piled high with papers and samples. Being on the main road is great for visibility, but the noise from the bikes and buses never really stops. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. We usually start the day by checking the emails and then coordinating with the warehouse guys who are elsewhere. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes clients come by to drop off documents, and we end up chatting about the traffic for ten minutes before getting to business. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a lot of new samples coming in, but we make it work. We aren't trying to look like a big multinational company. We are just local people doing our jobs and making sure the trade side of things moves smoothly. You might see us heading down to the local tea stall around 4 PM to get a break from the computer screens. It’s a simple operation and we prefer it that way. No big slogans, just the daily work of moving goods from one place to another from our spot in Velachery. It gets busy but we keep the wheels turning.
