Our spot is right on Rajiv Gandhi Road, which most people around here still call OMR. We are at No. 111, though some old records still say 141. It’s in Kottivakkam Village. It’s a busy stretch of road with a lot of noise and cars constantly going by. Valgaa Technologies India has been in this building for a bit now. Inside, it’s a lot quieter than the street outside. We spend our time working on various tech projects. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of focus, so we try to keep the distractions down. The office isn't anything out of a magazine. It’s just functional. We have a kitchen area where we eat lunch and talk about things other than work sometimes. Most of us take the bus or ride bikes to get here. The commute can be a bit of a grind, but that’s life in Chennai. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans. We just do the technical tasks that come our way. If a server goes down or a bug shows up, we fix it. That's the routine. It’s a steady pace of work. We know the shopkeepers nearby and where to get the best tea. It’s a community vibe even though we are a tech company. We just keep our heads down and keep working. The weather gets humid, and the office is our escape from the heat while we deal with data and code. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid.
