Vaanampaadi Orchestra

Our place is in Velacheri, at Door No 11/3-A, Plot No 9. We are on the 5th Main Road in Avenue Dhandeeswaran Nagar. Vaanampaadi Orchestra has its rehearsal and office space right here. It’s a decent-sized spot because we need room for instruments and people to move around. Velacheri is always growing, so there's always something new happening around the corner. Dhandeeswaran Nagar is a bit more settled, though. We like being on the 5th Main Road because it’s easy for the musicians to find when they come for practice. The building is just a standard house converted for our needs. We have some storage for the sound equipment and a main area where we sit and talk about upcoming dates. Sometimes the neighbors hear us practicing, but we try to keep it at reasonable hours. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just a place where music is planned. Vaanampaadi Orchestra has been part of this neighborhood for a bit now. We know the tea shop guys down the street and the local vendors. It feels like a real community. We aren't trying to be the biggest thing out there, we just like putting on good shows and having a reliable home base at Plot No 9. It’s a simple setup that works for what we do. We've been at this address for several years and it suits us fine.
