We are over in Anna Nagar, specifically at No: 2222 on 4th Cross Street in Mullai Nagar. It is a decent neighborhood, though the traffic on the main road can be a headache sometimes. The shop is small but we make use of every inch of space we have. We’ve got tires and parts stacked up in the back, and the front stays open to catch whatever breeze comes down the street. It’s mostly routine work here, nothing too complicated, just the usual stuff that keeps vehicles moving. Some of the tools are getting a bit old, but they work better than the new ones sometimes. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the name on the front and the door open from morning till late evening. Most of the guys who work here live nearby, so we all know each other well. When it rains, the water sometimes pools near the entrance, and we have to push it out with brooms. It’s just a part of being in this spot. People drop by to ask questions or get a quick look at something that’s making a noise. We don’t have a computer system for everything; a lot of it is just written down in a big book we keep on the desk. It’s a simple setup, but it’s been working for us for a long time now without any real trouble.
