Udaya Rubber Works

You can find us at Udaya Rubber Works at 128, C. Sathya Nagar in Padi. We have been working from this location for quite a few years now. It’s a basic rubber workshop. We have some heavy machinery that we use every day. It’s a bit of a loud environment when everything is running. We make different kinds of rubber goods for various needs. The team here is small, just a few local guys who know the trade. We don't have a big office or a fancy waiting area. Most of the space is taken up by the raw rubber and the molds. Padi is an area with a lot of industry, so we fit right in. The roads around here can get a bit muddy when it rains, but we don't mind. We just focus on getting the production done. We have a routine that we stick to. It’s not a complicated business. We get the orders, we set the machines, and we produce the parts. Sometimes things go wrong with a machine and we have to spend the night fixing it. That’s just part of owning a small shop. We don’t do much talk. We just like to get the work finished and out the door. It’s a practical life. We’ve lived in this neighborhood a long time and know most of the people nearby. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon before the last shift starts up.
