Imperial Rubber Work

You can find Imperial Rubber Work over at No. 4/6 S. S. Nagar in Buddhar Colony, which is part of the Porur area. Our building isn't very large, but we pack a lot of machinery into the space we have. The smell of raw rubber is something you get used to after working here for a few days. We spend our hours cutting, molding, and checking different rubber parts. It’s a bit of a messy process and there are often little scraps of black rubber on the floor no matter how much we clean. We don't have a fancy sign outside, just the address and our name on the wall. Most people who come here are looking for specific parts for their machines or home repairs. We have some old shelves that hold all our molds and tools. It’s often quite warm inside because of the presses we use, so we keep the doors open when we can to let in some air. We are just a small team of people who know how to handle these materials. Sometimes we have to stop and fix a machine when it gets jammed, which takes up a lot of time. We’ve been in Porur for quite a bit now and we like the quiet feel of Buddhar Colony compared to the main roads. It is a straightforward business. We show up, do the work, and close the shutters at night. We just keep the production going as best as we can.
