Shaams Designer Studio

Our studio is located at 203/76 Habibullah Road, right in the T Nagar area. Anyone who knows T Nagar knows it is one of the busiest and most crowded parts of the city. We have a small space here called Shaams Designer Studio. It is where we do all our creative work and meet with people who want something made. The building is not anything special from the outside, but inside we have our sewing machines and a lot of different fabrics hanging around on the walls. We spend a lot of time just looking at colors and trying to figure out what looks okay together. It is a lot of trial and error. Sometimes a design does not work out and we have to start all over again, which can be a bit frustrating, but that is just part of the process for us. We are not a big corporate chain or anything like that. It is just us doing what we enjoy doing. Habibullah Road can get quite a lot of traffic during the day, so we usually hear the horns and the buses all day long through the windows. We have been here long enough that it just sounds like background noise now. We keep things pretty informal. If someone comes in, we just talk to them like normal people. It is a practical studio.
