Alamode

Alamode is located at No. 22- A Chamiers Road in Teynampet. If you’ve ever been down Chamiers Road, you know it’s a pretty well-known part of town. Our place is tucked in there, and we’ve been running things from this spot for quite a while. It’s not a massive space, but it fits what we need. We spend a lot of time just organizing the shop and talking to the people who drop by. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel to it. We aren't the type to have everything perfectly polished and shiny. There’s usually a stack of invoices on the counter and maybe a half-empty cup of coffee somewhere. We like it that way because it feels more like a real place than a showroom. Teynampet is always buzzing, and we get a lot of that energy coming through our doors. We’ve got a couple of people working here who have been with us since we opened. We don't really have a hierarchy; we all just pitch in where it's needed. If a delivery comes in, everyone helps out. If the floor needs sweeping, whoever is free does it. We don't use any fancy business terms or strategies. We just try to be helpful and honest with anyone who walks in. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, and it seems to work for us. Every day brings something a little bit different, which keeps it interesting.
