Working out of Appasamy Towers in T-Nagar is something else. If you know Sir Tyagaraya Road, you know it is always crowded with people shopping and cars trying to get through. Our address can be a bit confusing because it is Old Number 17 but New Number 27, so we have to tell people both numbers sometimes so they do not get lost. Tata Chemicals Ltd has this spot here where we handle the daily grind. The building is right in the middle of everything. You hear the horns honking from the street all day long, but you kind of get used to it after a week or two. The stairs are a bit narrow, and the elevator can be slow during the lunch rush when everyone is heading out. Inside, it is mostly just desks and people looking at spreadsheets or taking notes. We have got a small area for tea and some filing cabinets that are usually overstuffed with records. T-Nagar is great if you need to grab something quick after work, though the walk to the station is a bit long when it is hot out. We keep the fans going pretty much all day to stay comfortable. It is a solid place to work, even if the traffic outside is a nightmare most afternoons. Most of us have been here long enough that we know which street food stalls are the best nearby. It is just the usual office life, really.
