Tap Engineering

We are located at SP-152 in the 4th Lane of the 21st Phase in Ambattur Industrial Estate. It is a busy place to work every day. Chennai gets very hot, especially inside a workshop with machines running all the time. We have been here for a good number of years now. People call us Tap Engineering. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. It is mostly just the shop floor and some space for the files. Most of our guys have been with us since the beginning. They know the machines better than they know their own houses. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks. Some are small jobs for local people and some are bigger ones that take weeks. Ambattur is a tough place because there is so much competition right next door. You can hear the hammering and the grinding from the other units all day long. We just focus on what is on our own benches. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane, but we deal with it. It is not always smooth. We make mistakes sometimes and have to fix them, but we always stay until the job is done. Being in the 21st phase means we are a bit far back from the main road. You have to really look for the sign. We just keep our heads down and work. That is how things go here.
