Swasthik Ayurvedic Hospital & Pharmacy

Our hospital and pharmacy are located at number 83/1 on the ground floor of Millers Road in Kilpauk. We’re very close to the old Motcham Theatre, which most people around here use as a landmark when they’re trying to find us. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk right in off the street. We have the hospital side and then the pharmacy where we keep all the Ayurvedic medicines. It smells very strongly of herbs and dried roots in here, which some people like and others find a bit much. The shelves in the pharmacy are always a bit of a mess because we have so many different bottles and packets to keep track of. Millers Road is a busy place, so there’s always the sound of traffic and people talking outside. We have a few beds for the patients who need to stay for a bit and a small area where we prep the treatments. It’s not a shiny, new building, but it works for what we need. We spend our days filling prescriptions and talking to the people from the Kilpauk neighborhood. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just us, the medicine, and the patients. Sometimes the rain makes the floor a bit muddy near the entrance, but we just mop it up and keep going. It’s just a normal, everyday hospital doing Ayurvedic work in this part of town.
