You can find us at 1 Pittymunaswamy Street in Old Washermenpet, Chennai. We are right there with Sallachenchaiah, in care of Lakshmipathy. If you know Chennai-21, you know it’s a busy, crowded area with a lot of history and noise. Our workspace is right in the thick of it. As supervisors, we spend our days managing the flow of whatever comes through the door. It’s a small place, and sometimes the street outside is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard over the traffic. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that have seen better days. We don't really do anything fancy here. We just keep track of the work, sign the papers, and make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to do. It’s a very local operation. Most of us have been in this neighborhood for years, so we know all the shops and the people walking by. It feels very connected to the street life. We don’t have a website or a big sign. People just know where we are. Usually, the day starts early before it gets too hot, and we try to finish up before the evening rush becomes impossible. It’s straightforward work. We don't pretend to be anything more than a small group of people keeping things moving in Old Washermenpet. It’s messy, it’s loud, and it’s home for our business.
